Write Through the Heart: (formerly known as Heart Stories)

Discover Healing and Freedom through the Truth of Your Story

with Vicky Cook and Beth Leas

We all have stories we hold within and as Anne Lamott says, "It is our birthright to tell them."

Join us for this powerful gathering as we meditate, write, discover our authentic voice and witness ourselves reflected in the stories of others.

Our lives are a tapestry of stories - stories about conception, history, about who we are supposed to become. The stories we tell about our history are mutable and shape who we are in this present moment and the choices we make going forward. The power of “Write Through The Heart” is a way to experience your story through love and grace.

"We are at a time and place in history where it's more important than ever to share our stories.  Listening to others tell their stories has given me the courage to be more forthcoming in telling mine. Speaking our truth - sharing our trials and triumphs - is the most powerful tool we have to bring - to ourselves, to one another, to our communities, to the world. Our destiny is not written for us, but by us.  Your story will heal you by setting you free." - Beth Leas

One of the key components and change of this evolution of work is the filter of love that is reflected and inspired as we reveal and discover what once felt like a liability into our greatest assets. Your story is you, not separate of you, not going anywhere and will always be a part of you, Why not work with it to heal and empower a life you are meant to live?

“I’ve told my story many times, but hearing it back, witnessed and filtered by love has been what has changed the way I see who I am and all my experiences. I am successful today because of my story, not in spite of it” - Vicky Cook

Vicky and Beth found themselves in deep discussions about the truth of their life experiences; the way they see themselves and portray a story for others was very different than how it is received. They realized the holding of space for one another, filtering the story and reframing it with love and understanding, brought a power and healing beyond anything they had experienced before. They have been creating and evolving this work through workshops and retreats for 3 years and invite you to join them on the journey of discovery, ritual and healing.

No experience necessary. Come as you are.
